These animals originally came from England. In the 1600’s a racing industry had began. Wealthy landowners began breeding horses especially for racing. The native stallions had endurance, but their speed was rather little and the breed imported to improve the native horses was the Arabian. You should know the thoroughbred history when you plan to buy a foal; seeing a photo of the breed is not enough.
